Feeling BIG!

Lorelle over at Lorelle on WordPress runs a weekly challenge and I landed on her page today blog hopping. The challenge for this week is to “Write about a moment when you felt BIG”. So here I go!

“You are The Lakshmi is it?”

I was embarrassed, thrilled and quite honestly did not know how to react. How does one react when treated like a celebrity? I have no idea for I have never been one. That moment on a fine evening a few months back was one of my ‘BIG’ moments. Being recognised for something totally separate from my personal and professional identity. To be identified as someone who pens her thoughts in a fashion others could relate to.

Now, I know most of my family and my friends read my blog. They are even sometimes embarrassed by the intensely personal things I say. When someone I do not know walks up to me and says “You are the person who writes all these funny things.” I am honored, humbled and incredibly happy.

To me, it is the essence of what I am trying to do. Express my thoughts in a way others can relate to. To have that “Ahaa” moment. To take them along my memory lane and for them to branch out and walk their way into old memories.
