Musings – A Tutorial
This page is to serve as a cheat sheet for the list of plug-ins I have on here and what each does.
Random Post: I know I have sneaked mention of this a few times in my posts. But it is one of my all time favorite plug-ins. I use it to pick something random for my soon-to-be 500 posts here. Not only does it sometimes lift my mood but reminds me of things I have forgotten.
My Blogroll: I keep adding to it often. Blogs I stumble on from comments people leave here or when I am out blog hopping. Most of what is on here is because I either know them personally or they write on subjects close to my heart. Leave me a note to let me know of any nice blogs I would enjoy.
Translator: If like Manchus, Veena and a few others who have had fun reading the Hindi version of Musings or Chintan as it gets translated. Its pure fun I tell ya. It is more like at attempt at translation. I have no idea of how this works in the other languages I have on my little translator bar on the left, but if anyone has tried it and understand what it shows up as. Pliss to share.
Pick a Topic: I try to tag my posts with as many keywords as I think are applicable. So, if you are looking to read about how I embarrased myself or what makes me cry, pick a relevant tag and read on.
Archives: This is another of those ubiquitous plugin every blog worth its salt has. Browse through monthly collections from the dropdown as I have it here. This reminds me of the journey I am on and how it has picked up steam over the years. Yes. I can actually say over the years.
Contact Me: Leave me a message. Tell me what you think. Give me ideas. Use that Contact Me to let me know what you think if you want it to be personal. A note of caution, a word of praise or a you-bore-me email. I promise not to take it to heart.
Guestbook: Another of those plug-ins I added a while back and seeing it empty broke my heart. Thanks Spillay and Bavani for your cute little messages. You gals made my day. The Guestbook is a place for you to leave a message about Musings as a whole. Not related to the posts. Just a little something so I know you were here.
Posts, By Email and Comments: The trio of buttons to the right top corner of the screen. Those are there if you want to subscribe to Musings in a reader or by email. The comments link is to subscribe to read follow up comments. I didn’t think they would be useful till I got hooked to Google Reader and based on SK’s feedback decided to enable full feed of my posts.
Share/Save: At the bottom of each post, there is a Share/Save button. Use it to forward the post to someone you think might be interested or tweet it on twitter or post it to Facebook. Or even bookmark it to read it later. If you enjoy it, feel feel to spread the joy!
Facebook: If you are on Facebook and would rather catch up on the posts there, look for Musings on the NetworkedBlogs application.
